About P&Y Heating and Cooling
A small, family-owned heating and cooling company in Gaithersburg, MD, led by a Maryland Master HVAC technician.
A letter from Pedro
I am Pedro Alcantara, the owner of P&Y Heating and Cooling and a Maryland Master HVAC technician.
We are a small, family-owned company. We repair, maintain and install heating and central air conditioning in homes across Gaithersburg and Montgomery County.
My priorities are customer service, quality and your comfort. I focus on doing the job right the first time, with honest recommendations and careful work.
Some customers call after another company told them to replace the whole system. That is fine. We look at the system, tell you what is wrong, and give you the repair option and the replacement option with prices. If a repair makes sense, that is what we recommend.
If you hire us for the job and we supply the material, I waive the diagnostic fee. We explain the work as we do it, and we leave the place clean.
If your system is down, call. We answer day and night. Thank you for the chance to earn your business.

How we work
The same approach on every job.
- Diagnose first. We find the actual fault before we recommend anything.
- Options in plain terms. Repair and replacement, with upfront pricing, before work begins.
- Repair when repair makes sense. We do not sell a new system you do not need.
- Explain and clean up. You know what we did and how to maintain it, and the work area is left clean.
